The year is 1780. The Devil's apprentice in Devon — a gnarled and narky demon called Damien — has enjoyed a century of lecherous kings, restoration rakes and saucy actresses. But now he turns his attentions to a less salubrious cause: the dandy highwayman.
On a day trip to Yelverton, Damien determines to corrupt the nearest innocent souls and set them on the road to hell.
Enter Meavy farmer, Dick Turnip, who has popped up to Yelverton Stores for a pasty, accompanied by his best friend Russell Sprout and Russell's handsome pet rabbit Mr Dashwoode. Spotting an opportunity for some sneaky shenanigans, Damien directs his minion in Meavy — an impish shapeshifter named Empusa — to engender a number of highway highjinks for these unlikely heroes. And so the scene is set.
What will happen next? Go along to Meavy Parish Hall and find out!
