OKEHAMPTON’S newly formed photographic club, Prismatic, enjoyed an excellent result for its first time participating in a Western Counties Photographic Federation Competition at Clyst St Mary recently.

Twenty-six clubs from the South West of England had entered the Kingswood Salver Competition, each one submitting a panel of five related prints.  Prismatic’s entry was entitled Boxing Clever each photo featuring different boxes.

The group were placed second in the competition.  The judge, Tony Worobiec FRPS said he was impressed with the originality of their panel. He also awarded member, Charity Vanstone, the Vivian Croucher Memorial Plate for the best individual print ‘Jack out of the Box’.

The members of Prismatic have very different photographic interests, and the group was formed to support and encourage each in these interests, whilst also enjoying club activities and outings.
