CAMERAS are always a popular Christmas present and the Okehampton Camera Club has a meeting on January 12 at 7.30pm that could be of interest to new photographers and those more practised in the hobby.
During the evening, held in the Conservative Club, Kempley Road, Okehampton, members will be able to see the Western Counties Photographic Federation travelling portfolio of slides. The club invites any camera enthusiast to take this opportunity to go along as well.
These are the very best slides from all the camera clubs in the West of England, judged by a well-known professional whose tape-recorded comments can be heard, which are very instructive and can give rise to lively discussion.
Meetings such as this prove very popular and inspire both beginners and experts alike. Anyone with an interest in photography, however slight, will be made welcome without any obligation to join the club, but the opportunity to do so will be there if they so wish.
