CHILDREN from Smiley Club at St Andrew's Primary School, Buckland Monachorum, recently decorated 150 buns which had been donated by teaching assistants in order to sell them.
All the buns were sold during a recent morning break, with year 6 pupils helping Smiley Club children.
Smiley Club children presented Anthony Wates and Jackie Freedman of the mary Budding Trust (pictured above) with £40.32 from the bun sale, £25 from Fridays break time Smiley Shop and £30 from the staff Christmas card donantion — a grand total of £95.32.
The trust supports children with special needs aged eleven or under, in West Devon by providing grants and equipment.
A spokesman for the Mary Budding Trust said: 'A big thank you to the pupils and staff for the generous donation made.
'We are extremely grateful for your support.'
