VOLUNTEERS from Tavistock Area Support Services (TASS) have been donning new polo shirts thanks to a donation from Plymouth Mobility Centre.

The new shirts will enable volunteers and volunteer drivers to be recognised while out and about helping others.

Ian Bellamy, director of Plymouth Mobility Centre, said: We have worked closely with TASS over many years and we are always looking at ways of supporting their valuable work in the Tavistock and outlying areas.

‘As a provider of mobility aids I know first hand the difference Shopmobility and accessible vehicles makes to people’s lives.’

TASS operates from The Anchorage Centre in Tavistock with a wide range of activities supporting older and disabled people.

Andy Lyle, manager of TASS, said: ‘Donations from local businesses always helps and it shows their commitment to supporting local people. Ian has over the years supported our work through his donations of scooters and wheelchairs for Shopmobility.’
