OKEHAMPTON Camera Club has won the small club section of the Western Counties photographic federation's digitally projected images competition.

Their 25 images from a total entry of 1,000 were accepted by the three judges, who were all fellows of the Royal Photographic Society, to be the best small club entry from the 40 who entered.

Interest in digitally projected images has greatly increased in the club following an Awards For All grant which enabled the club to obtain state of the art equipment.

The Okehampton club welcomes anyone with an interest in photography to its meetings which are held every other Monday at 7.30pm in the church hall in Market Street, the next being on March 16.
