MID Devon Pony Club tetrathletes had a great day at the Spooners PC triathlon, winning both the senior and junior girls? individual classes. Sarah Gomersall was missing, competing for Great Britain in Bratislava and Mid Devon?s Minis all deciding to go to the opening meet, so it was a much smaller Mid Devon group than usual, but they still proved a team to be reckoned with!

In the senior girls, Laura Gomersall started the competition with the best shoot in the class, and followed this with the fastest run, while team-mate Georgina Geikie was only one second behind.

After great performances in the pool, Laura was the comfortable winner of the age group and Georgina came third.

Jess Trerise also put in a great performance and was unlucky to just finish outside the rosettes.

In the junior girls, competition was tight in all three phases between Mid Devon?s Vicky Medlyn and South Devon West?s Hannah Scott-Smith. Vicky?s great swim ensured she was winner of the class.
