A WEST Devon veterinary surgery is encouraging pet owners to watch the waistline of their beloved animal friends during the indulgent festive period.

During January, Okeford Veterinary Centre will be running free weight clinics for people who feel their pet needs to lose weight.

The clinics are being run by the Okeford nursing team, and they will weigh your pet and advise on diet and how best for your pet to achieve weight loss. Throughout January, there will be a 10% discount on slimmer's food.

The surgery runs a 'slimmer of the season' award to reward the dedication of owners who successfully slim their pets.
