MAY we, through the columns of your newspaper, on behalf of the Lamerton Handbell Ringers, express our very grateful thanks to all those organisations and individuals for their kind hospitality and donations at functions we performed at leading up to Christmas? Each year money that is collected is donated to charity. This year £100 has been sent to CHICKS at Milton Abbot. Copies are still available of their 40th anniversary CD/cassette and can be obtained from 08122 614319 or from Allen Dolan?s shop in West Street, Tavistock. Profits from its sale, so far amounting to £480, have been donated to ?The Lamerton Sports and Community Centre Project?. Sincere thanks to everyone. This has resulted in another successful year with a figure of £1,537.30 being raised which as usual we will look to use in assisting local charitable and deserving causes.
