LAMERTON helped celebrate 'Heaven in Devon' last weekend with flowers, open gardens and music — and playing their tuneful part in the event were the popular Lamerton Handbell Ringers, pictured left.

From Friday, July 24 to Sunday, July 26 a whole host of events were staged throughout Lamerton.

A cheque for £1,250 was presented to Help for Heroes at the Festival Songs of Praise on the Sunday evening.

It is expected that the total profit from the event will be £7,000.
