LODESTONE Border Morris is seeking keen and able musicians to bolster its band membership.

If you enjoy playing the melodeon or accordion, or maybe have a guitar ready to strum or are even a budding Seth Lakeman with a fiddle, then Lodestone Border Morris would love to hear from you.

Stephen Newland, dance foreman, said: 'The tunes we use for the dances are a good mix of traditional folk and old time music hall numbers. It is an exciting way to practise your muscianship.

'Melodeon players are especially welcome, but as Border Morris is very diverse when it comes to music — if you can play anything from recorder to trombone we'll be delighted to have you on board.

'Dancers from age 16 and upwards are welcome to join us. No previous dance experience is required, just come along and have a go.

'The first night is free, so you have nothing to lose.'

The side practice every Thursday at the Kings Centre in Pixon Lane from 8pm.
