A POSITIVE bonanza of flowers fruit and vegetable could be seen at the community hall Bere Alston when Bere Ferrers Horticultural Society held its 102nd Open Gardening Club Show recently.

Temperamental weather — a month of exceptionally high temperatures followed by weeks of gales — had not deterred entrants to this popular show as the numbers of exhibits and entrants were higher than last year.
