CALLINGTON Community College, several local primary schools and a nursery will all be getting new equipment thanks to customers at a local supermarket.

The items have been paid for by schools vouchers donated by shoppers at the Callington Tesco store.

Callington Community College received 16,682 vouchers which have been used to buy equipment to promote healthier lifestyles.

St Mellion Primary School and St Dominic Primary School have been able to order musical instruments and sports equipment, and a digital camera and playground equipment are on their way to Harrowbarrow primary. Coombe Valley Nursery at Callington also received vouchers.
