Dartmoor View Dog Rescue is hoping that online Christmas shopping can give their charity a boost this festive season.
The charity has signed up with EasyFundraising, an innovative website where thousands of people are raising money for charities every time they shop online.
With access to more than 2,000 well-known online retailers, including the likes of Amazon, eBay, John Lewis and Marks and Spencer, savvy shoppers can buy their products through the EasyFundraising website and the retailer makes a donation to the shopper's chosen charity.
Donations can be as much as 15% of the purchase price.
With UK shoppers set to spend £7.75 billion online in the Christmas shopping period, Pat Admans from Dartmoor View Dog Rescue is hopeful that as many people as possible will sign up to the free service and raise money for the charity.
Pat said: 'In the current financial climate we know that every penny counts so we're not asking people to donate, just to shop online as they normally would.
'But instead of going directly to the retailer website, if they go via easyfundraising.org.uk first, their gift purchases will turn into a donation for us.
'Almost all of us shop online these days, so what could be easier than raising funds simply doing your Christmas shopping online?'
The dog rescue is a non-profit organisation with the sole aim of re-homing unwanted and abandoned dogs throughout the South West.
They have a strict non-destruct policy, never putting a dog to sleep unless under veterinary advice.
