MINISTERS in Tavistock held a special shoe-shining event in Bedford Square on Good Friday while the Salvation Army band played and members of the public tucked into hot cross buns.

The free event was organised by TACT (Tavistock Area Christians Together) and was to commemorate Jesus washing his disciples' feet on Good Friday before he was crucified.
