THE Whitchurch and Sampford Spiney sheep dog trials and family dog show held at the sports fields, Plasterdown were a great success on Saturday.
Russell Woolcock, the trials' president, said: 'The event went very well, it was well supported and the weather was fine. There was a strong entry of 57 dogs and standards were high. We would like to thank all those involved in making such a successful event.'
More than £2,000 is expected to be raised from the trials which will be donated and split equally to Whitchurch and Sampford Spiney churches.
