WEIR Quay Sailing Club has been holding the first of their summer dinghy racing series over a triangular course on the River Tamar.
The race was held in cloudy but dry conditions with winds strength force 1 to 2 and three boats taking part.
After a good start with all three boats sailing close together over two laps, the N12 of Alan Seward took the lead at the gybe mark by taking the inside line which it held to the finish and the Wayfarer of Bob Townsend overtaking the Enterprise of Adrian Helps on the last lap.
Results: 1, N12, Alan Seward, 46 mins 24 secs; 2, Enterprise, Adrian Helps, 47 mins 3 secs; 3 Wayfarer, Bob Townsend, 47 mins 34 secs.
