FOLK-Rock musician Seth Lakeman last week received a boost when it was announced his October concert in Plymouth had attracted additional sponsorship from a local company. Drink giant Plymouth Gin is co-sponsoring Seth?s concert, which is part of the Orange Plymouth Music Week. The Mercury Music Award nominee, whose album Freedom Fields was released on Monday, released his first ever single, Lady of the Sea on August 7. Seth?s first full concert following the new releases will be at Orange Plymouth Music Week on Saturday, October 21 at the University of Plymouth?s Great Hall. He will be part of the music week with bands including Keane, Razorlight and Johnny Turant. The festival will also feature a range of seminars, allowing music-makers and industry experts to meet. Orange music week producer, Oli James, said: ?It?s great to have our local music sensation Seth Lakeman as a highlight of Orange Plymouth Music Week. ?He?s on the same label as KT Tunstall, so it looks like it?s another big year for Seth.?
