TWO very different topics are being showcased at the West Devon Connect outreach sessions at their regular venues throughout August.

Joining them to help residents prepare for the new kerbside recycling and waste service will be advisors from the council's environmental services team, who will give information on the changes which will shortly be introduced to the borough's collection arrangements.

In contrast, the RNID will also be showcasing the many services they provide.

They are working to change the lives of the nine million people who are deaf or hard of hearing in the UK, as well as offering advice on preventing it.

Their staff and volunteers will bring information on the latest innovations, products and handy tips as well as about equipment to use at home, tinnitus, lip-reading classes and other issues for those who may be losing their hearing.

A West Devon Borough Council customer service advisor will be available at all of the drop-in sessions to help with council and many other public services.
