LEWDOWN Cricket Club held its annual lunch and presentation at the Eagle House, Launceston, when Alan Whitton, chairman, welcomed 90 players, members and friends.

He said the senior team playing in the Devon League had finished in fifth position, a satisfying result.

The under 13s were North Cornwall champions, being undefeated.

The under 11 years had many new players with a promising future.

Work on the new pavilion had started and will hopefully be finished before the 2004 season begins.

Frank Rolfe presented trophies to the following:

Devon League: Willow Cup, Dave Gall (28.2); Leather Cup, Ade Edmonds (15.73);

Tamar League: Willow Cup, Tony Geering (24.20); Leather Cup, Robert Squires (17.03);

Under 11 Colts: Bowling Cup, Sam Spry (23.25); runner-up, Will Sorrell (41.00). Batting Cup, Ashley Volz (14.8); runner-up, Will Spry (7.4);

Under 13 Colts: Bowling Cup, Harry Geering (9.81); runner-up Olly Smith (12.42). Batting Cup, Ed Squires (64.30); runner-up Harry Geering (18.20).
