FOLLOWING last year?s success Ju Jitsu Tavistock has organised a new self-defence course for women which will start in the new year in Tavistock. Umberto, the course instructor, said: ?The feedback we received by those who attended last year?s course was fantastic. That showed we put something together which was good and well received by the female population in Tavistock and surrounding area. ?With that in mind we decided to organise a second course. ?The aim is to raise awareness but more importantly to impart some basic self-defence knowledge which may one day save someone?s life.? The course, which will be held at the Ordulph Arms, will start on February 1 and will run every Wednesday for eight weeks.
