MORE than 100 residents concerned over proposals to re-develop a play area in Tavistock have received information packs in order to voice their opinions.
Tavistock Town Council sent out the packs last Friday as a result of the feedback it received at a recent consultation meeting for residents affected by the Courtlands play area.
Around 50 people attended the meeting in the council offices and were able to speak to council staff and councillors over their concerns for the proposed area, which included parking, privacy and anti-social behaviour issues.
In the pack, a letter from works superintendent Wayne Southall talks about on-site consultations, due to take place in the next four weeks, for residents who wish to discuss their views; a section for residents to write their thoughts on the design and what they would like to see/have in that area; and a plan of action for the next two to three weeks.
Debbie Ashton, assistant to the town clerk, said that as a result of all the feedback from residents the council sent out more information: 'We have tried to capture as many residents of the community as possible but we do apologise if we have missed anyone — please contact us if that is the case.'
