LOCAL growers and producers are being sought for a new event at Cotehele Quay.

The 'Tamar Harvest' will be a celebration of local produce in and around the valley and will combine sales of local produce, refreshments and talks with information about the market gardening history of the valley.

The latter will include some historic film footage, exhibitions and information on new education projects.

The group is also interested in locating families with local fruit, vegetable or flower varieties named after them, who can contact them in advance or at the event.
