GARDENS throughout West Devon will be opening in aid of charity as part of this year?s National Gardens Scheme.
The scheme, now in its 76th year, donates over one and a half million pounds per year to a wide range of charities.
The charities include Macmillan Cancer Relief, Marie Curie Cancer Care, county Nursing Associations and the Gardeners? Royal Benevolent Society.
During May, Milland Farm near Northlew will open on Sunday and Monday May 4 and 5 and on Monday, May 26 from 11-5pm.
Cleave House at Sticklepath will open on Saturday, May 31 from 10.30-5pm. The Cider House at Buckland Abbey will open in aid of the scheme on May 18 from 2-6pm.
Lewtrenchard Manor garden at Lewdown is open on Mondays to Fridays from 10-4.30pm, with part of the proceeds going to Devon Air Ambulance.
The Water Garden at Wembworthy is open on Saturdays throughout May in aid of the scheme from 2-6pm, and Winsford Walled Garden at Halwill Junction is open on May 26 to raise money for the charity.
