They did their cause no harm as they totally out-played their opponents. Gibson opened the scoring after only 15 minutes, with a near post header. Following a corner within five minutes, Groombridge?s 20 yard drive beat the visitors? keeper with a fierce shot. Just before the break a mix-up in the home defence allowed Miller to finish from 14 yards. But straight away, following a cross from Hoskin, Short smashed home from 12 yards for the other side. In the second half Tavistock retained possession well but could score only one further goal through young Lee Howld to make the final score 4-1.
