PLAYED at Oaklands on Good Friday, Tavistock second string recorded a deserved win, although pushed to the limit by a spirited Okehampton side.
With scrum-half Mark Ninnis powering his way over for a couple of well taken tries in the first half, at the turn around Okehampton had a mountain to climb.
Captain Neil Cole decided on a mixture of bulk and experience in the back row, so Nick Wakem provided both.
Other fine performances for Tavistock came from Simon Thompson, Chris Johns, Paul Williams and Dave Welsh.
Anybody wishing to support Tavistock second team in the final stages of the season would be more than welcome.
