A FAMILY escaped injury after their car overturned near Mary Tavy on Monday afternoon.
Police this week said seatbelts and a good quality child seat had saved the couple and their three-year-old child from injury when the black Vauxhall Astra clipped the hedge and ended up on its roof.
A Peugoet 306 travelling in the opposite direction was also involved in the collision and suffered damage, but the occupants from Exeter were uninjured.
Police and paramedics attended the scene just after 4.30pm.
Sgt Dave Anning believed the car containing the family, who were on their way to a holiday park nearby, was a write-off.
He said: 'It was incredible no-one was hurt but they were all wearing seat belts and the child was in a good quality child seat.
'There was not a scratch on the child.'
