I'M looking for any living descendants of Athelstone Redwald Walmesley (known as John). He is my great great uncle.

I grew up being told that he died young and had not married. I have been researching my great-grandmother and found out that John did get married and had six children. The youngest two: Norah Monica Walmesley and Audrey Pearl: were born in Okehampton. Norah married someone with the last name of Goodanew and had one child. Audrey married Sidney Price and they had three children that I know of.

I also know that some of John's sons worked as quarrymen in Okehampton.

I would also like to know more about the history of these quarries and the town of Okehampton.

I would like to hear from anyone who may be able to help me in my search.
