BRENTOR and Bridestowe Scout Groups enjoyed a scenic route when they took part in a family bike ride from Okehampton to Meldon recently.

The groups, who started this term, meet at Bridestowe Village Hall on Wednesday evenings.

From September they will meet separately at Brentor and Bridestowe village halls.

Anyone interested in joining the Beavers, aged six to eight, the Cubs, aged eight to ten or the Scouts, aged ten to 14, can phone Sally Powell on 01837 861556. There is also an explorer scout group for ages 14-18 in Lifton.

New members are always welcome.
