Bedford Cup Launceston v Bere Alston Utd ? game postponed due to waterlogged pitch. Re-arranged for Wednesday April 5, 7pm kick-off. Jefferey Cup quarter final Bere Alston Utd 6 Sticker 1 BERE progressed to the semi-finals in fine style and found their shooting boots with four of the goals being scorchers. Ian Crabb got the first, joining the attack and beating the keeper at the far post from a Ben Rushall centre. Sticker equalised when a centre was diverted past his own keeper by Mark Wheeler. Bere should have scored several more before, from another Rushall cross, Ross Hann got in front of his marker to rifle home. Bere started the second half slowly and Sticker tested their defence with the ever reliable Craig Howells pulling off a good save. This woke Bere up and they peppered the Sticker goal, with Paul Cowling getting the third ? taking a short corner he cut inside, beat a defender and from the edge of the area hit a left-foot screamer. Bere made it four, Will Westlake hammering home a free kick around the wall from the edge of the area. Wheeler hit home a volley from a clearance, again from the edge of the area, for five. Steve Piper hit home a loose ball in the area that went in off the underside of the crossbar to leave the Sticker keeper bemused.
