TAVISTOCK College's Year 11 celebrated the end of school with the traditional prom night last Friday, meeting in Bedford Square and welcoming family and friends before heading off to St Mellion International Resort where celebrations went on well into the evening.

Head of Year 11 Sonia Fox thanked the PTA for its generous donation and also the 'fabulous' student prom committee, members of which spent a lot of their own time getting creative, to make this event a huge success. She also praised the local businesses who were involved in decorating the venue.

'Year 11 are an amazing group of young adults who we are all extremely proud of,' she said. 'In the words of the house DJ they were polite, respectful and a credit to themselves and the college.'
