PUPILS from St Joseph's in Launceston welcomed Judy Pride and Lavinia Archer from Children's Hospice South West to the school recently, and presented them with a cheque for the charity.

During the Christmas period at St Joseph's, the early years department performed 'The Little Angel'  and  the junior school entertained a packed audience with their version of 'Hoodwinked', a witty take on Robin Hood. Parents and friends donated after the productions to the children's chosen charity, Children's Hospice South West, and raised £429.47.

A group of Year 5 and 6 pupils, led by the charity prefect, presented the cheque to Judy and Lavinia who thanked the children for their hard work.

The group have been invited to visit Little Harbour in St Austell — CHSW's newest children's hospice — to see the facilities they have helped support.
