FORMER pupils and members of staff at North Tawton Primary are being asked to come forward to share their memories of the school for a new book.

North Tawton resident Dr Alan Parkinson is writing an illustrated book on the history of the school. It is around 150 years since the infants' school building in the town's Exeter Street first opened, and Dr Parkinson is preparing a book on the school to be published early in the new year.

He has previously published the booklet 'Wartime Memories: North Tawton Schooldays 1939-1945'. The booklet documents the memories of those living in North Tawton during the second world war, recollecting their experiences.

He would like to speak to any former pupil, teacher or member of staff who would like to share their memories of their time at the school.
