A UNITED front will now be possible when children of Harrowbarrow Primary School attend team athletics events, thanks to kit sponsorship from East Cornwall-based company Spinnaker International.

'After receiving a plea from the school for donations we decided to help out,' said Spinnaker's technical sales manager Tim Hodge. 'Keeping fit and active is something we are firm believers in here at Spinnaker and it is good to encourage children to do as many activities as they can. Hopefully, the new kit will make them look the part.'

Spinnaker International designs and manufactures systems for the protection of cash in transit and was founded in Harrowbarrow many years ago. It is now based at Saltash.

'We still like to be involved in the community if we can,' added Mr Hodge.

The school has a good history of success in local athletics and cross-country events. 'Our kit has seen better days,' said headteacher Andrew Hunt. 'As a result of Spinnaker's generosity we will now look like the champions we so often are!'
