PUPILS and staff at Mount House are celebrating after the school received high praise from the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) following a two-stage inspection held late last term.

The Inspectors said pupils of all abilities and needs achieve excellently in their academic studies and extra-curricular activities. They make strong progress in all parts of the school, including the Early Years Foundation Stage. Pupils are highly successful in their learning, developing strongly positive attitudes, including an excitement in education, and they acquire strong learning skills.

The report rates the personal qualities of Mount House pupils as 'excellent', commenting that these are fostered by '. . . .the open, friendly atmosphere, which is strongly exemplified by the leadership and staff'.

Pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is also assessed as 'excellent'.
