WEST Devon Borough Council has moved its banking business to a new bank and is appealing to its residents and businesses to update their records.

The process was started at the beginning of this year to move the council's day to day banking from NatWest to Lloyds Commercial Banking Services for commercial reasons.

Now West Devon is appealing to all its residents and particularly those paying by internet banking to ensure they have the correct new bank details saved.

The new details are: Lloyds Bank; account name: West Devon Borough Council; account number: 40072360; sort code: 30-98-69.

A spokesman for the council said: 'We want residents to make the changes to the account details with immediate effect.

'Don't worry about any payments you have made already; these will have been processed as normal.'
