A CHANCE to get into the festive spirit and catch up on some Christmas shopping is on offer this weekend, as Tavistock Town Council hosts a Christmas Market on Bedford Square this Saturday, from 9am to 4pm.

The market will offer a variety of stalls, including mince-pies, hot turkey rolls, traditional puddings, Christmas trees and home-made crafts and gifts and much more.

There will also be a Santa's Grotto, where children can visit the man himself to pass on their Christmas wishes between 11am and noon and 1pm and 3pm.

Children can also bring a letter to give to Father Christmas.
