SANTA Claus is coming to Tavistock tomorrow (Friday) and will be staying around for the next month.
Making his annual visit starting on Dickensian evening, Tavistock Rotary Club’s Santa sleigh can be found in Bedford Square, Tesco and the Whitchurch Inn on the run up to Christmas. He will also be making his traditional early evening visits to peoples’ homes to meet the children of the town.
Accompanied by his elves from the rotary club, Santa’s schedule will start in West Street during Dickensian evening between 5pm and 9pm; he will be in Bedford Square on December 4, 11 and 18, from 10am to 2pm; at Tesco on December 12, from 10am to 4pm; and at the Whitchurch Inn for ‘Carols at the Whitty’ on December 4, 4.30pm to 6pm.
Home visits will take place from 6pm to 7.30pm at Church Lea, Whiteacres Estate and Priory Close on December 1; St Davids and Greenlands on December 2; Manor Estate, December 3; Westmoor, Mohuns and Chollacott, December 8; Deer Park and Down Road, December 9; Bishopsmead, December 10; Redmoor Close and the Dell, December 15; Monsksmead, December 16 and Tiddybrook on December 17.
