Their playing partners Andy Baker and Steve Kerslake of Holsworthy were full of praise for the youngsters and said that it was a pleasure to play with them. Second was Max Clarke and George Gawman (Tavistock) with 44pts and third were Paul Mannell and Martin Goldfield from Staddon Heights on 43pts.
In the Artisans' Cup Mike Henderson continued his successful run by topping division two with 47 pts; second was Stuart Cox with 40pts, third on 38 pts was Richard Burrows. In division one first was Robert Beveridge with 38pts while second were Richard Horton and Nick Mier on 37pts.
In the first round of the 'Mail on Sunday' Tavistock Ladies got off to a good start with a 3-2 win over Launceston. The next round is away at Staddon Heights.
In the Ladies Monthly Stableford Fran Horton topped the division one with 30pts, with Dawn Phillott in second on 33pts and third, Liz Lyndon on 30pts.
Division two was won by Ginny Samborne with 36pts and all with 30 pts were Patty Congo, Rosemary Rae and Carolyn Crawford. In division two first was Sue Bailey, second Anne Williams and third Val Facey.
