A WEST Devon landlady hiked for several miles to raise money for a cancer charity.

Sally Thomson, of the Highwayman Inn at Sourton, joined hundreds of others in completing the Dartmoor Challenge for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Having sustained an ankle injury in training, it was unsure whether she would make the event, but she managed to complete the 13 mile moorland hike in four and a half hours and raised £500 for the charity.
