A TRADITITIONAL village event is being revived in the moorland community of Clearbrook this month ? and organisers are hoping everyone will come along to enjoy the fun.

Clearbrook Saffron Fayre takes place on Saturday July 10 and guarantees entertainment for young and old.

There will be a village scarecrow and gardening competition held during the afternoon, with plenty of stalls and activities on the green, opposite the village hall.

There will be a skittle alley, coconut shy, craft and bric-a-brac, plants, cakes and produce stalls. Ice creams, candy floss, a bouncy castle and roller coaster will keep the younger visitors amused, while the adults enjoy a cream tea or a beer in the beer tent.

There are some great prizes to be had in the raffle and during the evening there will be a barbecue and music from a live jazz band.

The fayre starts at 1pm.
