WEST Devon Borough Council's Building Control was alerted to a number of overhanging slate roof tiles at a property in Barley Market Street, Tavistock, last Thursday.

The road was closed temporarily while the owner was contacted and the roof investigated. There was no immediate risk from the roof, more of a cosmetic problem, said the council. The road was re-opened on?Friday.
