MANAGERS at Dartmoor National Park Authority were rewarded for their success in a DNPA development programme recently, when chairman Bill Cann presented them with special certificates last Friday.

Mr Cann, a county councillor from South Zeal, presented the 13 managers with Institute of Leadership and Management certificates at an awards ceremony at the park headquarters in Bovey Tracey.

Mr Cann said: ?The National Park Authority strives to achieve the best possible conservation and enhancement of the special environmental resources of Dartmoor, to serve the best interests of its resident population and to enable the national and international community of visitors to understand and enjoy its natural qualities.

?All members of staff play an important role in helping to deliver these aspirations. Managers have a particularly key role to play in enhancing the authority?s effectiveness.

?Investing in their development will not only benefit them, their staff and the authority, but also Dartmoor, visitors and its local communities.?
