MEMBERS of the famous 90s and 00s pop group S Club 7 made an exciting special guest appearance at the fourth anniversary party of HQ Bar, Tavistock.
S Club’ers Bradley Macintosh and Jo O’Meara travelled from Essex on Sunday to perform all of their biggest hits live at the bar, including energetic dance number, Don’t Stop Movin and renowned party classic Reach.
After their performance the duo spent time chatting and drinking with the other guests before posing for photographs with fans.
The band, who formed in 1998 and quickly rose to fame by starring in their own television series, announced their split more than 13 years ago and have since had many UK mini-reunion tours featuring a handful of the band’s original members.
HQ Bar, situated on Plymouth Road, was alive and kicking with the sounds of various pop and dance classics in order to celebrate its fourth birthday.
Bar owner Ben Neil said: ‘Four years ago we opened our doors for business. It’s been a dream come true for us ever since and we wanted a way to thank all of our friends and customers who have supported us along the way. So, we put on a night of great entertainment for them, which we hope will give them good memories for many years to come.’
The party featured a host of special guests, including DJ Richard Wright, who set the tone of the evening with his 70s, 80s and 90s mixtape. Following the performance by S Club, HQ’s winter resident DJ Mr Flexx, who had flown back from his summer residency in Ibiza just to play at HQ’s birthday party, took to the stage.
There were also performances from HQ’s resident, DJ Snake and up and coming local House DJ, Arran McDowall.
