A HUSBAND and wife team from West Devon will be running the London marathon this month in aid of their local charity, Lifton Social and Community Centre.
Lavinia and Kevin Marshall from Lifton will both be running in the London Flora Marathon on April 26 to help raise money for the new community centre at Lifton, which is a registered charity.
Lavinia, 56, has previously managed to complete three half marathons but said that this will be her first 26.2-mile marathon.
'I decided that I wanted to run a marathon before I turned 60. I am determined to get there and I am looking forward to it.
'I train three days a week while Kevin runs six days a week — but he is a more natural runner. I do a short run and long run at the weekend.'
