PANCAKES were flying overhead in Callington's high street on Tuesday as the town revived the annual 'It's a Knockout' pancake race.
Churches Together in Callington and the town council organised the event, which was open to adults and children, and invitations went out to all local groups and organisations.
A team from Callington Brownies, calling themselves 'The Cheeky Monkeys', won the children's section and the town's Rotary Club won the adult class.
Margaret Morris from Churches Together whisked up a huge batch of pancakes for the race and afterwards there was the opportunity to sample freshly cooked pancakes in the town hall and watch a presentation by the Fairtrade Committee for Fairtrade Week.
