Okehampton Argyle 3

Seaton Down 2

IT looked as though Argyle were heading for yet another defeat when Seaton built up a two goal lead by half time.

The first was scored by G Moore after just eight minutes.

A mis-hit clearance fell kindly to Seaton?s C Hopkinson, who gratefully took the ball around keeper Shaun Sandercock and shot into the empty net.

The second half began with Seaton finding it difficult to deal with the gale force wind. Argyle mounted attacks from both wings with Robbie Sandercock and Steve Williams prominent.

It was a mis-hit shot from Sandercock that provided Argyle with their first goal ten minutes into the half.

The sliced shot found its way over to the right wing, where Matt King picked it up, cut in and, although his shot was deflected by a defender, ended up in the back of the net.

The equaliser came in the 75th minute when a free kick from Nick Drew dropped nicely at the far post for Steve Kinsey to poke in from just three yards.

The pressure by Argyle now intensified, but as the clock moved into the 90th minute with the likely result a draw, a final assault saw Robbie Sandercock provide a ?Roy of the Rovers? finish, when he let fly with a screamer from 30 yards that flashed into the top corner of the net.

This week Argyle are at home to Pinhoe, kick-off 3pm.
