Plymstock U12s 14 Tavistock U12s 26 IN the first game of this round-robin Tavistock had to fight hard against a strong Plymstock side. A lightning interception by winger Josh Stephens started the move which resulted in second row man Daniel Oner crashing over. The home side equalised. Tavistock were caught napping early in the second half but responded well with a quickly taken penalty by George Harold releasing centre Elliot Hoyte for a long run in to the line. Jack Morgan was held up over the line but the resulting scrum won clean ball for Hoyte to power over his second. A fast pick up by Elliott Northmore and some excellent rucking secured the ball for Barnaby Frost to close off the scoring. Josh Stephens added six points with conversions. Totnes U12s 7 Tavistock U12s 28 THE first half saw one try each - Tavistock?s coming from Elliot Hoyte running through several tackles. Tavistock settled into the second half with a well worked try from winger Sam Lynsey. Another try from Hoyte fed by Rodgers and some powerful tackling and the final try from new signing Callum Thompson was the match highlight.
