SCALLYWAGS Pre-School in Halwill has benefited from a £400 donation from Hatherleigh Rotary Club to help fund equipment and facilities.
President of the club Richard Tidball visited the group at Halwill Village Hall to present the money recently and met children and representatives from the playgroup.
The money was part of the proceeds of the Rotary Town Fun Day held in August when approximately £2,800 was raised.
The rotary club?s next fundraising effort is a charity auction on December 5 at the Bridge Inn, Hatherleigh and local causes to benefit will include the senior citizens trip to a pantomime.
Lots so far include dinner for two at the Duke of York in Iddesleigh and the Kings Arms. Winkleigh, garden statues and hand-made walking sticks.
