MONEY raised by Tavistock Rotary Club has been put towards Rotary International?s Shelterbox and Aquabox schemes. Each Shelterbox contains a ten-person tent, sleeping bags, cooking utensils and water filtration equipment sufficient for ten people for up to three months. An Aquabox contains sufficient filtration units and purifying tablets to provide 33,000 litres of clean water. With a donation from Tavistock Inner Wheel Club, Rotary have collected enough for six Shelterboxes and five Aquaboxes to be sent to the most desperate areas affected by the disaster. Stratton Creber estate agents in Tavistock are acting as a local collection point for donations to the Rotary club for the Shelterboxes. Donations can be made at Stratton Creber at 9 Market Street, Tavistock.
